A Frankenstein is a person (or country) who creates an uncontrollable monster that eventually brings upon the creator’s own ruin.
Even though I am past the age of peer pressure, I succumbed to the barrel jean trend and bought this pair. They look like shit with everything so far. I will be obsessively googling how to style these for fall and winter.
Instead of wallowing in The Handmaid’s Tale (on Kindle Unlimited), I am going to re-watch Mary Shelley with the one and only Elle Fanning.
I asked chatGPT how to get into politics when you are old with no experience. I only made it through the first few steps before realizing that politics really is for the privileged, extroverted and selfless. I will find smaller ways to make a difference. Here’s the guide, incase you too are fired up.
Getting into politics in your 40s with no experience can be a challenging yet rewarding endeavor. Here are some steps you can take to get started:
Educate Yourself: Familiarize yourself with local, state, and national political systems. Read books, attend workshops, and follow current events.
Network: Connect with local political leaders, join community organizations, and attend political events. Networking is crucial for building relationships and gaining insights.
Volunteer: Offer your time to political campaigns or advocacy groups. This hands-on experience can provide valuable skills and a better understanding of the political process.
Consider Local Office: Start by running for a local position, such as city council or school board, where you can make a difference and gain experience.
Develop a Platform: Identify the issues you are passionate about and build a platform around them. This will help you connect with voters and articulate your vision.
Communicate Effectively: Sharpen your public speaking and writing skills. Clear communication is essential in politics.
Stay Persistent: Politics can be tough, and setbacks are common. Stay committed to your goals and be prepared to learn from your experiences.
Completing my foster to adopt application so I can re-direct all of this hope and care. Isn’t she adorable? She adores my son with level 3 autism and we have been searching for the right dog for a long time. Comment all your puppy tips.
Catching up on upcoming book releases I have received from publishers (thank you thank you thank you). I am most excited about these two:
Heartbreak is the National Anthem, How Taylor Swift Reinvented Pop Music
High and Rising, A book about De La Soul by Marcus Moore
They seem relatively quick and positive and entertaining enough to round out the week without more tears.
Some links are affiliate because a lady can dream of a life where she quits her job and enters politics to take on the haters.
If you made it so far, thanks so much for reading, I am grateful even if we have political differences. Please share my post.
That puppy picture has brightened my day ❤️ Barrel Jeans so hit and miss - mine look better rolled up once but don’t take my fashion advice!
The puppy tip I stand by - establish a feed / walk routine and stick to it everyday. Not only does it give your pup some purpose, but it helps you stay organized with your own routine as well!
Another one - fold some dry kibble or training treats into a hand towel, tie it into a knot, and it's a DIY mental game that occupies your dog for 10-20 min!
